Following our appeal for witness statements from anyone who may have been able to confirm the identity of the person or persons responsible for these graffiti tags the police were able to take appropriate action. On 15 January, 2020, Toby Adams, 24, of Wellington Place, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to causing £1,796 damage to walls and furniture, belonging to the Brass Monkey, in Havelock Road. The offence took place between September 7 and September 8. He also indicated guilty pleas to causing £1,752 damage to furniture at St Mary in the Castle, Pelham Crescent, and to causing £15,396 […]

Allan Finn jailed for drug dealing following conviction

Convicted drug dealer Allan Finn from Westfield, near Hastings, has started a six-year sentence for his crimes following a two-day trial at Lewes Crown Court. Finn, 32, a window cleaner, had denied being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and cannabis but on Wednesday 12 June he was found guilty. He was sentenced to six years for the cocaine offence and three years for the cannabis offence, to run concurrently. A further nine weeks, previously suspended, was added for driving while disqualified. Orders were made for collection of a victim surcharge, and forfeiture and destruction of the confiscated drugs. Shop and pub staff asked to report misuse of Vanilla credit cards

Police are keen to hear from shops or pubs in the area who may have been defrauded by the use of invalid Vanilla Mastercards. Officers know of four incidents so far. On 1 February two men used an invalid card for a meal worth over £100 at a pub in Chichester. £1,000 reward for wanted man Kane Watson

Police in Hastings have offered a £1,000 reward in the search for a wanted man. Officers are looking for 27-year old Kane Watson who they want to interview about allegations of several assaults, and of controlling and coercive behaviour, against a woman known to him. He could be in Hastings or Bexhill. They have now offered a £1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction. Reward doubled for information on Jake Griffin

Police are increasing their reward for information leading to the arrest of a St Leonards man. Jake Griffin was released from prison on July 3, part-way through a 10-year sentence for robbery and possessing an offensive weapon, imposed at Lewes Crown Court in March 2012. The 29-year-old man, from St Leonards, is alleged to have since breached the terms of his release licence and is wanted for recall to prison.
